Dr. Peters is originally from Saskatchewan but later moved to Alberta, living in both rural and urban centres. After high school she attended McGill University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cellular Biology, and a minor in International Development Studies. She then returned to Calgary to attend medical school at the University of Calgary. Following completion of her medical degree she carried out her residency training in rural family medicine in Saskatchewan. Prior to returning to Alberta she worked in Swift Current, Saskatchewan. After returning to Alberta, she continued to work rurally prior to moving back to Calgary to be closer to family.
Dr. Peters is interested in all areas of medicine, but has a special interest in obstetrics, chronic disease management, and palliative care medicine.
