Dr. Kathryn Anderson, MD, CCFP, NABBLM-C, IBCLC
Dr. Kathryn Anderson is a highly skilled and compassionate family physician practicing full-scope primary care with a special focus on breastfeeding medicine and infant feeding. After completing her family medicine residency in 2014, Dr. Anderson officially joined Circle Medical in 2015, where she has since made significant contributions to patient care and community health. She is now the Medical Director of the Circle Medical Breastfeeding Clinic.
Her comprehensive practice includes providing care for a diverse patient population, with past experience in low-risk obstetrics, which allowed her to support women throughout their pregnancy and postpartum journeys. Dr. Anderson is deeply passionate about contraception, helping patients make informed choices that best fit their individual needs.
Beyond her clinical work, Dr. Anderson has taken on leadership roles to strengthen primary care in her community. Over the past two years, she has served as a board director for the South Calgary Primary Care Network and has recently been appointed as the board chair for the South Anderson Primary Care Association, where she advocates for improved access to healthcare services.
In her pursuit of excellence in breastfeeding and lactation care, Dr. Anderson became a board-certified lactation medicine physician (NABBLM-C) in 2024, enhancing her ability to support new parents and their infants. She has held her International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) credential since 2019, reflecting her commitment to evidence-based practices in lactation support.
